I will be preforming an internship for a company called LEC Cabinets. I have worked for this company in the past, but it was in the production process building cabinets. In this internship I will be on the administrative end of the business. I will be trained on QuickBooks in order to do the company’s payroll, payroll taxes, accounts payable, and data entry. The accounts payable and data entry involve entering in employee receipts and invoices.
I will also be shadowing the owner, learning how to measure houses for cabinets and drafting them in CabinetWare. CabinetWare is the program the company uses to present drawings to customers. In addition to working with the owner, I will be working alongside the general manager, learning to order products and running for parts. A final part of my responsibility during this internship will be taking over the time clock and resolving issues with employee’s times, which are a daily occurrence.
